The World Food Championships, which is touted as the largest culinary competition on the planet was hosted at Ivy Tech Indianapolis' Culinary Center in 2020. The event gives home cooks, pro chefs and professional cook teams from all walks of life a chance to be seen on TV and win a share of the largest prize purse in the Food Sport industry. Culinary Arts Program. The culinary arts program at Ivy Tech Community College - Central Indiana prepares students for a career as an executive chef, restaurateur, food and beverage manager, food writer, research chef, or a culinary educator. The program focuses on cooking related services in restaurants and other commercial food establishments. Courses Restaurant and Courses Bakery-Cafe are both student-run operations in the heart of Ivy Tech Indianapolis' Culinary and Conference Center.
